Fall Intimate Wedding at Belivaeu Winery in Virginia

Megan and Evan's Fall intimate wedding was the PERFECT start to Fall wedding season. They really wanted to go for a boho elegant vibe, which I was SO down for. They had their wedding at a the Belivaeu Winery in Blacksburg, Virginia in front of these gorgeous mountains. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and although we did catch some moments where the light was pretty bright and harsh, we were able to make it work and still get some pretty epic shots.

The great thing about having an intimate wedding is that you're really able to take your time and enjoy every minute of the day. As we know, the more people that attend an event the more busy it can be! Megan & Evan limited their Fall intimate wedding to around 50 people, which was the right amount to be surrounded by those who they love & care. Intimate weddings are the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to tone down the essence of a "traditional" wedding, but still have some of the glamour. So what I'm saying is, if you're planning on having an intimate wedding... I would LOVE to join *wink wink*.

After the ceremony, we made our way over to the courtyard where we were surrounded by lights, laughter and SO much love. Alongside the bright lights hanging around the courtyard, were grapes hugging the vines which really added to the whole bohemian elegance in which they were going for. Of course as the night continued and the dance floor opened up, everyone started to "bust a move" (or however the cool kids call it nowadays LOL). I always love when couples get to let loose and just be themselves on their wedding day. It can get real easy to get consumed by the hustle and bustle of planning and making sure everything is right on your special day. It is the moments after saying " I do" that I have found that a lot of couples take that deep breath and begin to start letting loose.

This intimate wedding in particular was so much fun because on of my friends, Christy (who you'll find was a stunning model for my Skyline Drive Styled Shoot), actually came to help set up and really put her creative vision into the design of the whole wedding. My friend Gretchen (@gretchenparkerphoto) was second shooting for me so it really was a day surrounded by amazing people and friends.

So fun fact: Megan and Evan planned their whole wedding day by themselves. They actually planned it so well that when the day finally came, everything went so smoothly (future wedding planning biz perhaps? JK!). It was because of this, that they really spent the whole day living stress free and enjoying each and every moment with their friends & family.

This wedding was more than just perfection. You could just tell how in love Megan and Evan are and how eager/excited they were to say "I do". Congratulations M+E and thank you for giving me the honor to capture such special & intimate moments for you!
